Does this sound familiar

You did well in school and at work, and people relied on you. Privately you felt overwhelmed all the time, and one mistake away from falling apart.

Maybe you found out you have ADHD as an adult, or you suspect it. Maybe you grew up with an abusive or narcissistic parent and learned early to keep the peace. Many of the women I work with are burned out by the time they reach me, and harder on themselves than they would ever be on a friend.

What I help with

  1. 01

ADHD in women and late diagnosis

AuDHD, masking, executive dysfunction and rejection sensitivity. You won't have to convince me that ADHD affects the rest of your life.

  2. 02

    Childhood trauma and complex PTSD

CBT and trauma-focused therapy. I'm EMDR-trained, and I offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy coordinated with a medical partner.

  3. 03

    Narcissistic and emotional abuse recovery

You won't have to spend therapy proving that what happened at home was harmful.

  4. 04

    Burnout, perfectionism and people-pleasing

Including ADHD burnout, and making room for chronic illness when your body won't keep pace.

  5. 05

    Adult ADHD and autism assessment

Also OCD assessment and ERP. Accommodations, FMLA and ESA documentation when clinically appropriate.

How I work

I listen first. Then we build the work around what you actually need, which is rarely what a worksheet assumes.

Some weeks that's untangling something from childhood. Other weeks it's figuring out why the laundry has been in the basket since March. Every session, I want you to leave with something useful: a new way of seeing it, a tool to try, or a next step. You should get more than "see you next week."

I'm a bit of a mental health nerd. I draw on whichever approaches fit you, and I like to explain the why behind what we're doing. Understanding your own brain is part of the work.

I'll push when you want me to and when you're ready, always with compassion. You set the pace, and you can tell me when something isn't working.

KAP

KAP is offered in partnership with BetterU, which handles medical screening and prescribing. I prepare you beforehand and help you integrate the experience afterwards.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, too.

I'm the oldest daughter in a big Italian, Cuban and Southern family. I grew up in a conservative part of the country before settling in Los Angeles, so I'm comfortable with people from many backgrounds and points of view. Before I was a therapist I was a dancer, and I'm still a recovering overachiever.

My practice is neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming.

Questions

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to start?

No. Many people come to me suspecting ADHD. If you want a formal answer, I offer adult ADHD and autism assessment.

Which states can you see me in?

Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York and Washington. You need to be in one of these states during each session.

Do you only work with women?

Most of my clients are women, and my practice is LGBTQ+ affirming. If what you've read here fits you, you're welcome to book a consult.

How does ketamine-assisted psychotherapy work?

BetterU handles medical screening and prescribing. I work with you before and after each session, so the experience becomes part of your therapy rather than a one-off.

Will insurance cover this?

I'm in network with Anthem, Aetna and United through Alma. For other plans I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
